THE PROJECT
Between rock, water and landscape.
Villa Eden Rock unfolds along the slope through horizontal volumes, terraces and open spaces facing the sea. Stone and large rocks become part of the composition, set alongside pale surfaces, glazing and timber screens. Setbacks between the levels and the lightness of the roofs soften the building’s presence, establishing a continuous relationship between the house and the Mediterranean landscape.
The sinuous pool follows the main façade, wrapping around rocks and planted islands and connecting the water close to home with the horizon. Covered terraces, pergolas and outdoor living areas extend the rooms into the garden, alternating light and shade, openness and shelter. Planting approaches the façades and links the different levels, while glazed passages and double-height spaces create long views through the house. This continuity between materials, garden and water brings the project together.
